Session 1 Lesson

Values in Motion : A Journey of Conscious Alignment

Aligning With Your True Values

This lesson begins our Journey of Conscious Alignment as we discover and align with our true values and behavior to arrive at a natural state of being.

The goal is to be honest with yourself and align with your true values.

In this lesson, you'll take an honest look at the values flavoring your behavior through powerful exercise requiring you to choose between "should've/would've" and actual actions in your default state.

Behaviors are where values get down to business, turning lofty principles into tangible, everyday actions. Think of values as the big picture and behaviors as the fine brushstrokes that bring that picture to life. Together, they create a dynamic duo, transforming our values into a vibrant reality in our daily lives.

"It is here that the individual journey towards awakening and transcendence truly begins." Richard Rudd, Gene Keys

The path you tread is to align your values to remove any self-obsession of being unique or dullness of being like everyone else to loving yourself. This requires embracing your natural state and surrendering to just being you. Throughout this path, layers of trauma, conditioning, and fears are released and this could take a minute. Have patience and grace with yourself as you walk this path to self-love.

"Know Thyself"

This phrase has been around since ancient times. We've heard it so often that it's easy to disregard, yet it is the basis for self-love. To love something is to love it unconditionally, to accept the beauty and the warts, to live in the joy of the thing. This requires knowing all the things about the thing, right?

Through self-protection, we hide pieces of ourselves. These pieces come out in our choices and our behavior. Brian Tracy shared "You can always tell your true values by looking at your behavior, especially under pressure." So, if you desire to know your true values, look at what you do when under pressure or when no one is watching. These are the moments you see the pieces you've hidden. These are the moments that invite you to love all of you. Through this awareness, you have the opportunity to shift the actions and values that are not serving you.

"If we want to know whether good fortune will follow, we must look back upon our conduct and its consequences. If the effects are good, then good fortune is certain. No one knows himself. It is only by the consequences of his actions, by the fruit of his labors, that a man can judge what he is to expect" - I'Ching

The inspiration for this lesson:

"A natural sense of how to behave as oneself, irrespective of one’s environment. A keen sense of how others behave, leading to deep discomfort if confronted with behavior one considers incorrect. Developing self-love through accepting and loving one’s uniqueness, and in turn empowering others to find self-love." - Ra Uru Hu, Gate 10: Treading, The Behavior of Self

This gate of the most pure expression of self has served the evolution of our species by way of having the ability to bring uniqueness  to the world. We experience this energy in a spectrum that moves from self-obsession and insecurity into naturalness of being, by way of identifying and aligning with what is most natural for us be and do and to offer the world around us.
