Session 3 Lesson

DISCOVER YOUR WHY

Using Tension to Discover Your Why

Is Struggle Required to Obtain Your Purpose?

On December 31st, we don't just celebrate completing another year; we engage in a profound introspection, delving into the past year to discern the echoes of purpose and the whispers of spirit.

Forget capes and spandex. The real heroes walk among us, their battles waged not against cosmic threats, but against the shadows within. Gene Key 38, the Spiritual Warrior, beckons us to this very arena, a journey where struggle transforms into perseverance, and perseverance into honor.

Within us all lies a potent fuel for struggle. It can be the fire of ambition, the simmering resentment of unfulfilled dreams, or the raw pain of unhealed wounds. But left unchecked, this fuel can morph into addiction, channeling itself into aggression, violence, or the insidious trap of self-blame.

This is the defeatist shadow, a place where purpose flickers like a dying flame. We may lash out, project our anger, or simply sink into the quagmire of depression. It's Iron Man, drowning in self-destruction before finding redemption in purpose. It's Hulk, unleashing his rage without direction until guided by a higher cause.

But the warrior's spirit lies dormant, waiting to be awakened. Look to Wonder Woman, her unwavering commitment to justice, or Batman, rising from the ashes of personal tragedy to become a symbol of hope. These icons remind us that the right fight is fueled by love. Love for ourselves, for our cause, for the collective good.

This doesn't mean embracing martyrdom. The true warrior recognizes honor as their guiding light. It's about standing tall for what we believe in, even when it's hard. It's about holding ourselves and others to the highest frequency, as Walter Mitty dared to do, finally stepping onto the world stage he always dreamt of.

The path is strewn with obstacles, rapids tearing at our resolve. But remember, resistance is a dance, a chance to hone our skills and rise stronger. Defeat isn't a failure, but a lesson etched in scars that guide us. Each battle, whether internal or external, shapes our honor, reminding us of the greater love that conquers all.

This is the Hero's Journey writ small, within the vast canvas of our own lives. It's the journey of overcoming addictions, finding our purpose, and becoming the warrior we were always meant to be.

New Year's Eve ignites this Stage of Tension, a potent crucible for introspection. We delve into the past year, not with regret, but with a discerning eye. Did we unearth our purpose? Did we connect with our spirit? Was the past year a tapestry of fulfillment? These questions demand authenticity and courage.

Why then, do we rush headfirst into resolutions on January 1st? Often, they're crafted from the residue of past regrets, forcing the future under the weight of the past. The key lies in patience, contemplation, and radical honesty with ourselves. It's not about making ourselves wrong; it's about noticing and accepting, allowing the tension and pressure within to exist without immediate action.

This workshop invites you to dwell in that space, to navigate the currents of introspection with grace. By doing so, you pave the way to attune with your "WHY" – the profound reason behind your existence. Why do you rise each morning? How do you infuse meaning and purpose into your life as a genuine expression of your spirit? Discovering your purpose is not about forcing outcomes but about allowing the true essence of who you are to unfold.

Forge a path of honor, aligning your life with your truest self. Fnish the old with gratitude and step into the new with intention, painting a masterpiece of purpose and authenticity on the canvas of the upcoming year. Remember, as John 15:13 reminds us, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." This isn't just about self-discovery; it's about living a life worthy of being celebrated, a life worth laying down your fears and limitations for, a life fueled by love and fueled by purpose.

This journey starts now.
Take a deep breath, find your purpose, and step into your light. The world awaits you.

The Inspiration For This Lesson:

"The ability to preserve individual integrity through opposition to detrimental forces.

A natural warrior, always ready to stand up for one’s independence and fight against the odds to find value and purpose in life. Formidable courage and resilience in confronting adversity. Difficulties with, and a resistance to listening to others, so as not to compromise one’s search for individual purpose.

Following strategy and authority to fight for the right things instead of wasting strength and health. Resistance from others and not knowing what is correct to fight for can lead to exhaustion and the experience of defeat." - Ra Uru Hu, Gate 38: Opposition, The Gate of The Fighter

If you choose to do this exercise, I promise you will walk away with a new awareness about yourself and you will know better what is worth putting your energy into.
